    4.3 MerCruiser Intermittent Stalling

take a look at the fuel tank breather or filler cap( some systems breath from the cap). you guys are required to have an anti siphon system , that would also be worth taking a look at. suck some fuel out from the bottom of the tank and check for water. other than that : possibly a connector...

Painting my 1989 Bayliner, Need some advice

i use a 2.0 with 2 k epoxy coatings on most boats i paint , the 2.0 seems to cover quicker thus less orange peel and dry spots. application temperature is more important than nozzle size when coating large fiberglass areas such as hull sides, too cold and it orange peels , too hot and you get...

    How to decarb an outboard?

if you have carbon or gum on your piston rings on a 50 hp carbed outboard motor you have a bigger problem than a carboned up top end. now with that being said , i use a snake oil de carb on bigger motors that take lots of work to remove heads. FWIW , an old school mix of brake fluid / water...

    How to decarb an outboard?

take the head off, wire brush on a drill . there are lots of DE carboning additives out there that will work , but personal preference with 2 smoke is to take the head off and get all that baked on carbon free ,this way you can also get a good inspection of cylinder condition and a new head...

Can you spray paint a prop?

that's all good in hindsight ,but ,that aint going to work on a prop that is going to be used on a boat owned by a real boater ,we have tried all the paints and fancy primers on props and skegs ,the first or second time across the mud in the estuary and its gone , waste of time IMO , powder...
