    1987 Starcraft Islander Restoration

Yeah, I also have the Garmin Striker Plus 4 and agree that it's pretty weak. No basemap is a real issue. The original plan when I bought the unit was for me to go out and map my favorite lake myself, using the manual method in the Garmin. But once on the water, that plan goes away...

Additional sound signals for electric boats?

What about seriously hearing impaired or deaf boat operators? They're not going to hear a noisemaker.

    Nobody fishing?

Yeah, several lakes closer to home for us are also not usable with the boat because of our drought too. The lake we've been going to is more than an hour away, but definitely worth the trip.

    Nobody fishing?

We got back out there again this morning. I got 3 small bass in the livewell and lost a 4th at the boat. 😁 But the boy lost a big one next to the boat which was bigger than all 4 of mine combined! He was not happy! 🤪 🤣

First boat is it worth it?

Roccafellas... Just an FYI for clarification of terms. You refer to "inboard" when you're really talking about an "inboard/outboard" (I/O) drive. Sometimes also known as a "sterndrive." An inboard is different. See pic below. The great attraction to the I/O type is because many folks are...

    Can anyone ID this Mariner?

Thanks guys! 🙂 We found the welch plug with the serial number. I'll be looking up parts this evening. (y) My buddy was there this morning and fired up the motor with one pull. 😃 I'd suggested that he clean the motor, so he added some Dawn to the water tub! 🤣 Just kidding! He added...

    Can anyone ID this Mariner?

Buddy of mine picked it up and already has it running. He asked me to look up some parts for him and I'd like to know what it is besides a 25HP Mariner. Year? Model? And so on...  Thanks! :) The ID sticker isn't much help.

    Nobody fishing?

Thanks, we did get back out there this morning. 😊 We arrived at the boat ramp after daybreak but before sunrise. I'd like to have been there earlier. Maybe next time. I couldn't make up my mind which pix to use, so I just shoved them all together into a video! 🤣

    Nobody fishing?

The boy and I got back on the water this morning and had some success! It's been a long, long time. ;) We're going back out tomorrow and did some preps tonight in order to get ready. The bass I caught didn't fit in our little cooler, so we bought a simple aerator pump and put it into a...

    1976 22' SUS O/B "Hydration Break"

I used roll-on porch paint on the sides of my Kingfisher hull (deck too) and it has held up well. Easy to apply and durable. Touch-ups are easy as well. Sand/scuff a little, then repaint.

    1976 22' SUS O/B "Hydration Break"

Nice chub! I have one of those HF shop cranes and it worked very well moving motors around and getting the 50HP Merc mounted on the Kingfisher. (y) As for the plywood, yeahhh... we've all BTDT. On my KF, I replaced the rotted plywood console with 1/4" aluminum. :sneaky: Keep...
