    Shift cable seals part numbers

Yes, i actually did use the drive number. That’s how Volvo has the website broken down. It actually shows the item in one diagram but its not a numbered item with corresponding part. Frustrating.

    Shift cable seals part numbers

I pulled my SX-A drive today. I’ll be replacing the gimbal bearing and both bellows. I found part numbers for everything on the Volvo webpage. However I also need shift cable seals and can’t seem to find them in any of the Volvo parts diagrams. Does anyone know where I might find these?

Gimbal bearing lubrication without zirc fitting

Ok so follow up question that might be dumber than my previous one. Is it possible to add the grease tube and zirc fitting in order to make the gimbal bearing lubeable? Im already going to be in there so just wondering.

Gimbal bearing lubrication without zirc fitting

Yeah i knew the answer before I asked the question. But I had to ask. Just sold my 84’ model Merc with original gimbal that I’d greased annually. My 07 appears to need replaced. Glad we found a “better” way.

Gimbal bearing lubrication without zirc fitting

Hi all, My Volvo SX drive on 07 Hurricane has no zirc fitting to lube the gimbal bearing. I’m planning to pull the drive for routine service and want to know if I can manually lube the bearing by hand? Thanks

I’m afraid to run it on muffs out of the water. But if it were clogged somewhere wouldn’t I have cooling problems in the water?

Ok got it. I just can’t understand why I can’t get pressurized water up to the impeller. Even if I squeeze the muffs together by hand. It’s almost as if there is a valve in the circuit that doesn’t open until the key is on or something. ??

Ok so i put full pressure water on the muffs. Made sure they were sealed as well as possible over the intakes of the drive. And I pulled the corresponding hose off the impeller inside the engine bay. No water at all. So now I am officially thoroughly confused. Also, with hose pressure on the...

? Not sure how to do that, but it runs ok in the lake so I guess it’s not obstructed.

Yes it’s possible that flush pipe has a check valve. That would prevent flooding the boat it the cap weren’t sealed so I think that’s plausible.

What is the factory spec for fuel rail pressure on a 5.0gxi? I checked mine today and got 50 psi while idling.

    New to Volvo family

So I connected hose water to my old Merc muffs on my VP SX drive today and turned the water pressure on full blast. It was spraying like crazy around the outdrive. So I took the cap off the engine bay flush connection expecting to get hose water coming out. Instead I got nothing. All that water...
