    V8-270-C-B Exhaust bellows (hose) replacement

There should be a metal plate on the port side of the flywheel cover. It will be an inch or two below the bottom of the exhaust manifold. Your engine is a 5.7 block so when Volvo started adding catalyst to them they knew they would be switching to the Gen V blocks. So rather than writing a new...

    V8-270-C-B Exhaust bellows (hose) replacement

You didn't post a serial number so I can only take my best guess. Workshop Manual 47700210 is my best guess, it's a supplement to the engine manual and just covers catalytic exhaust manifolds. There are some more parts that need to be replaced, it's not just the gasket. Be very careful with...

    2012 VP 300 C-A Exhaust manifolds getting too hot - DTC 441 & 442

Normally they are close. But one of the screen shots of Diacom you posted showed engine coolant temp 85° and EMWT 224°. So you will need to monitor where the problem is.

    2012 VP 300 C-A Exhaust manifolds getting too hot - DTC 441 & 442

Yes, I would recommend that you hook up Diacom and watch the exhaust temperature and run at higher rpm if temperatures stay ok. Best to be in the water when doing this.

1997 carver 5.7 port engine removal

I haven’t done a 325, but have pulled a few engines in similar boats. Before trying to remove the rear window/door assembly you should check to see if a replacement is available. They are sometimes very difficult to remove without damage. Some Carvers I could remove the fly bridge and just...

ECM Swap ? Plug and play ???

Is this a 256 SSX? That's a "extended V-plane" hull. Notching the transom did a lot of good things for how those boats rode, all of it at the expense of top speed. HP upgrades with this hull isn't really going to do much -- if anything. Sell it and look for a Regal FasTrac or if you're looking...

    2012 VP 300 C-A Exhaust manifolds getting too hot - DTC 441 & 442

Make sure to read the workshop manual first. There are some parts that can't be reused.

    2012 VP 300 C-A Exhaust manifolds getting too hot - DTC 441 & 442

My mistake, thought you were saying that if the air pocket was near the sensor that would cause the sensor to read hot. And of course, that's not true.

    2012 VP 300 C-A Exhaust manifolds getting too hot - DTC 441 & 442

You have this backwards. Liquid transfers heat better than air/vapor.

    2012 VP 300 C-A Exhaust manifolds getting too hot - DTC 441 & 442

The problem with air in the system is that it degrades the coolant you're using. What you have now lasts about 5 -6 years before it stops protecting against corrosion. Keep adding air to it and that life starts dropping. All depends on how long you want to keep the boat. I used to joke with...

WINTERIZING: Full fuel tank vs Empty fuel tank

Minnesota here. Empty is best, but to get a built in boat fuel tank empty. You have to pull the sending unit and pump it out. If you just use the fuel line, you will leave about 1" of fuel in the tank --- not so good. Never full, when it warms up you will have fuel everywhere. 3/4 to 7/8. I'm...

If this was a pressure test on a full and cold system. No it's not OK, you have a leak.
