    What size

Good rule of thumb and advise above - then, it depends how, where and when you plan to use the boat in the water, and how much/how far you intend to move it out of the water

well, there ya have it now that the Admiral and I have a boat in the fleet with a head, she gets dibs. on our boat, any lady out boating gets dibs, but that's the Captain's decision (or not)

    Darn Mice Can Be Expensive

Last year seemed to be a heavy mouse-year in the SW Adirondacks. Sure was funny (to me) when a friend of the Admiral's saw one on a sticky trap that we were gonna give-up on - well, that one worked

    Head holding tank pump out

Wow, 25 miles away and $60, hopefully you can find cheaper and closer pump-out. If you don't know capacity and there's no gauge or high-level light, you could get it empty and fill it with water one measured gallon at a time til full, and pump that out. You'll get it flushed-out and have an...

Ever buy a boat to big for your garage.

really? fire 'em all (but the model would be cool) "solution involves applying the so-called ‘comparative method’ which consists of manufacturing the new units using as a model a train that is already running on the line."

    2023 NFL/CFB News and Nonsense

If you mean the Chiefs, I hope you're wrong. Even though I've been a Bills fan since the 60's - I still root for the AFC (and that kid at QB for the Chiefs is fun to watch), OK, I'll type it - go chiefs (that was difficult). That's a good team. Ya, it's cliché - but I am hoping for a good...

Swim platform refinishing and anti-slip / skid

your swim deck looks similar to the one on our 1991 Mastercraft ski boat, and we have sanded and "re-teaked (oiled) it" regarding non-skid material additive - I think it depends what you want to do on your swinm platform - if lots of sitting, swimming, using it to get in and out of the boat...

    2023 NFL - Week 18

After living in the area for over 50 years, we've been thru a lot of "Bills stuff", this one is different. Damar was trying to raise about $2.5K to buy toys for kids - it's up to about $7 million! Certainly, entire Bills organization and people in area are a class act - so is Cincinnati

    Simple Floor Ideas?

One of our boats is the same as yours (14 ft aluminum, although labeled Alumacraft). It's never had a floor, but it has been considered. Have considered a partial-floor aft and mid (not forward). The discussion here reminds me of that partial-floor idea. But maybe that's a weight-distribution...

"Christmas staff fund charge" on my marina bill?

I've not seen such a charge "called-out" on the many marina invoices that have come our way. But, for $20, I wouldn't have said anything - you nailed the reason
