    If your engine needs more than a few seconds of cranking every start. Then the starter starts to cycle a lot ang heat up over time . Drying out the grease. It is difficult to save money by not keeping the engine in perfect tune up.

    You should not have to re squeeze the ball every morning. It should stay same hardness for MANY DAYS. Engine is old enough to have several ...starting to fail ...parts.

    10 minutes of idling will cook some motors. Not enough cooling water being pumped. Some cars have the same problem.

    Do not start doing a DIY job. Unless you absolutely and completely know, you will not create a problem, that no marine mechanic will want to repair. It is creating no problems ?

    I use a long base loaded antenna. Fold down under the boat cover. If I need it ? I want maximum range of a long antenna. Way back there were 2 piece. screw together units.

    Bildge pump removal

    Drilling into stringers or hull bottoms can possibly cause water to reach the wood or foam inside. A small blob of RTV will hold the pump in place. Allows pump to be replaced easily.

    Lots of water in bottom of boat ? You do know the bilge pump is MANUAL only in the specifications ?
