    It could still not be LUBRICATED correctly. A 15 minutes of use and then a procedure ? Vacuum check is still required.

    At least a 15 minute test ride some at WOT. Then a stop at dock and several restarts. Might get lucky. Have to be real lucky. Depending where in the country the boat was .docked

    Headless bolts on installing a starter or intake manifolds. Anything awkward or heavy on any machine.

    I always make sure the grease or oil is fully covering all the inside and outside of the seal surfaces. Same with the shaft surface. Wipe it all around any metal surfaces the the seal must slide on to get into the correct place.

    Need help finding plug wires

    I prefer wires that have a fully MOLDED on sparkplug boot. It is easy to pull at a bad angle on the sparkplug boot in tight spaces. That can ruin the connector tightness in the right angle boots of the NON-MOLDED plug connectors.

    Any seals that need to hold against ....Positive Pressure and Negative Pressure ( vacuum ). The seals MUST be placed in a certain way on the shaft. I forgot the most important thing. The shaft bearings MUST NOT have any wear that allows shaft wiggle.

    Sounds like the idle speed and idle mixture are a little to lean. Outboard motors are to be shifted quickly. That is stated in your owners manual.

    Also check the thermostat parts. Stat in heated water of a stove pot, gasket shape and location. If a gasket is there does it look slightly bent ?

    Your props are determined when you have a FULL LOAD of stuff and people in the barge. Empty barge ? The captain & rev limiters will protect the engines. It is that simple.

    You MUST MUST get an install those seats !! They have ALL the foam flotation molded under them. Those seats ALSO keep the hull sides from FOLDING into the boat. GET THEM !!!
