1995 70HP Force, cranks but wont fire.

U-TUBE VIDEO'S Look on the net for specific tests. There's a bunch of compression test video's. The first 4or5 posts in the Force forum has tests and tips for your motor. I'd stop and go through each one, might be something you need in one of the posts???? If you can't figure it out? then ask...

    1990 force problems

Usually 60-70 on the bottom 2, could be just a bad head gasket. Take the head off, BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN REMOVING THE BOLTS!!!! They've been there for maybe 30+ years and they tend to get stuck and break off. PB Blaster, a propane torch and patience, patience, patience!!! One time it took me...

    Chrysler engine overheating

It's a 1976 You running on the hose, muffs or bucket? The bucket needs to be real deep, 4-6 inches over the cavitation plate. The older motors needed a special muff, need pics of the water pickup on the lower unit. If you have the 2 piece lower? then you need a special muff.

1995 70HP Force, cranks but wont fire.

Compression, spark, fuel. Roscoe says check the fuel pump diaphragm, along those lines, check the primer for a bad diaphragm (pinch off the hose from the primer to the carb).

1989 Force 50hp spark plug options

Before you buy!!! try swapping the coils around and see if the weak spark changes when you swap them. In all my years, I've only seen 1-2 bad coils

1989 Force 50hp spark plug options

Hook a spark plug to the first lead. Ground it to the block and turn it over. Then do the same to the other lead and compare the sparks. Any difference? change the coils around and see if the bad spark follows the change?? Ebay usually has packs/coils. http://standardmagneto.com/Parts.html...

90hp Force with no serial number

The starter has a date on it. 5/20/89 They started the 90 in 1990 The blue packs show it's around the late 80's up to the early 90's Pics of the drive? Pics of the cover? Under the bottom carb should be another foundry stamp.

    1988 force 50hp

Higher comp won't help. Port and polish might get 1 maybe 2 hp. Maybe. Boring out to .040 can get a bit more speed. You'll need to rejet the carb at .040 What's the rpms at wide open? If the props as chewed up as you say?? that can slow you down. Load and boat size can slow you down too. You can...

Champion UL-18V or the NGK equal NGK BUHX; NGK stk 2522 Either of these should work. Explain the problem?? Do a compression and a spark test. Post the results. The 50 can run on 1 cyl. not great but can run.

    Force 125 lower unit issue

The gear ratio was different on the early Chrysler/Force 85/125 Then in the early 90's they used the same gears on the 90/120/150 The drive will swap the performance on the 85 won't be as good as the 125 The rebuild on the newer lowers is fairly easy. They had a simple system to ID the housings...

1990 Force 50 HP Bearing Cage Kit Replacement

Looks like the shear pin or locating pin is missing. That pin holds the prop away from the housing. On the shaft is a 1/4" hole, turn the prop over there's a corresponding hole. Fit the prop and insert the pin in the hole and then tighten the nut and insert the cotter key. #s 9 /10/11/12 all...

Hard to start and no idle

Compression test???? You say you pump the fuel arm and it helps it start. That would only help if you were turning the key as you pumped. ?? Pushing the key in and out as you turn the key would do the same thing as these carbs don't have an accelerator pump like the older cars had. The primer...

    Chrysler 757HB. Heating problems (again!)

Answer the rest of my questions. Pics of the drive? 6 or 12 really makes no difference. I think the 12 vane impeller is the older style. They push enough water to make up for the seal or no seal. Turned backwards: the hole at the bottom when backwards it blocks the water from going to the head...

    1981 Chrysler model 307h1d

Something that old (40) you'll be very lucky to find anything that even comes close. Start looking for a Force 40-50 with T@T already installed. eBay might have something? then the wiring and hardware will be hard to find. Good luck.
