    Water and Exhaust Coming from Lower Cowling

    When I started up my C90 Two Stroke Yamaha in the water I had exhaust and water coming from under the lower cowling. I have picture to show location. Oddly enough I started it up on the hose hours before that and all seemed normal. Any ideas? Motor ID is C90TLRV

    The three pieces circled are definitely metal and magnetical attracted to plug. Gear oil was bluish green very new looking no abnormal odor.

    I started this thread back in 2006 I did end up buying a single engine cruiser with 7.4 MPI Mercruiser. Its approaching 700 hours. Manifolds, risers, flappers all replaced. Oil pressure still in spec etc.....again I ask in a single engine 28.5' cruiser how much longer will it last.

    Painting over Zinc Primer

    I just finished priming my B3 lower unit with green Moeller Zinc primer. I plan on painting the black over the weekend. Does the zinc primer need to me "roughed up" for a mechanical bond? Can I paint over it as is?
