    All lip type seals use very small springs on the back side of the seal. The spring is used to help apply pressure to seal against the shaft.

    ok trying to turn prop CCW is trying to rotate the impeller backwards is won't work. Use a pair of vice grips or large channel locks and rotate shaft with pin on it CCW just ever so slightly then try again. This may give you enough to slide it together Either that or the water tube is not lining up

    Your Mech could be right. The Tach gets it's info from the ignition system and if it starts shorting out or drawing more current this will effect the firing of the plugs. Could disconnect the gray wire from the coil to see if it problem stops

    Again for the most part it doesn't matter. The A model is TBI and the others are MPI, but the starter wires are the same
