    FWIW.....this is from my Chrysler factory manual. It clearly states to hit the puller bolt with a hammer....but not too hard, just a "lick"....lol.

    You are correct about that sir....no doubt. When I said "a couple licks" I didn't mean a merciless beatdown on the puller bolt....the few times I have removed flywheels they came off just using the puller, no hammer. I don't have my factory manual here right now, but IIRC it mentions striking...

    Having the correct high quality puller makes the job a lot easier.....no need to beat anything with a hammer, maybe a couple licks on the puller bolt to break it free.

    That is a good thing....need to get that last plug out and see if the engine turns freely. If not, check the cylinder walls and pistons for damage. Maybe post some pics.....that will tell the story.
