    It sure looks like a drain for a ice storage compartment under a bow seat. My Chaparral has that similar fitting also. Lift up each bow seat for a drain at the bottom.

    Honda car engines also make oil. Honda says idle a cold engine a lot longer to warm it up more completely. They ALSO recommend driving for a long time every month. To really heat up the oil completely. After doing a interstate run at 70 mph the oil level on the Dip Stick drops a 1/8" lower.

    Only time I ever saw 3 run times look like that. COLD running engine due to stuck open thermostat. My own engine.

    C D I Oh well. You have adjusted Idle mixture and idle speed screws correctly ? You seem to have 2 separate problems ? Low speed ? Hot engine stoppage ?

    The smoke can also be steam. Overheated thermostat operation. Some cooling inlet water holes being blocked off. Can you post pictures of sparkplugs ? Or how bad black build up is ?

    Those plugs are a good part of erratic engine power. Install CORRECT new ones. Those may be wrong type.

    Boat trailer bunk bracket question

    I have just used long enough 2 " wide by 6 8 or 10" wood beams Beveled to fit flush on boat bottom. Or cut all the bevel to lay flat on the trailer rails. Either way works fine. Some of us just used flat Aluminum plates about 3" by 5" to secure the beams to the frame.

    I had a commercial Electrical Contractor use his hydraulic pipe bender to bend 4 Aluminum heavy walled pipes in to L shapes. Then auto store for exhaust pipe clamps. For clamping to the trailer frames. The pipes allow 1" of clearance to boat rub rails. They work great in brown muddy water...

    NEVER EVER put anything between the cable compression lug surface and the cleaned LEAD POST surface. The washer goes between the nut surface and the lug surface.

    What happens to CDI garbage when the alternator is recharging a slightly run down battery ? KABOOMM ? I tried CDI on my old Evinrude's Rectifier. Always failed new and after 1 long run at WOT. Other boating friends had similar repeat failures.
