Lewmar 700 pro series anchor winch

I've had a Formula 27PC with 125ft all chain, and currently have a 280 Chap with 15ft chain and 185ft of rode. The all chain never had an issue with it going up/down. The Mix seems to always have problems going up/down. The rode hangs going out and more so coming in. I cut off 50ft of rode...

    water weeping thru hull

If the water is coming from a area that caught some water and now that it's on the trailer is leaking down, then no issue If it's leaking out of the hull/stringers then that's bad. It won't completely dry out and mold will start. After mold starts it has to be cut out to stop it

Alarm sound when turning the key - starter does not work.

With a 280DP that's a stern drive. The prop is attached at the stern hence the term stern drive. Inboards have a straight shaft coming out of the boat like a ski boat or large cruiser. Prop is under the boat instead on coming out the stern To check for a good ground connect meter and set on...

    Another prop slipping thread

Don't know about coupler integrity, but I've never had one fail if it was checked yearly. Didn't matter if it was a 4 cyl or up to a 530 HP BBC Did have one burn up in my early years when I didn't check yearly Post a want to buy in the Offshore only section.

Alarm sound when turning the key - starter does not work.

I would not pay much attention to the alarm right now, stay with working on the no crank. You could disconnect the oil pressure switch right now until the other issue is found With the melted wires I would guess there might be a blown fuse, or the fuse was bypassed or wrong size installed. If...

    Another prop slipping thread

I would say it must be the coupler has stripped. Would feel better if you smelled burnt rubber after it happened Don't think the BB coupler will fit, but never tried. They do make a steel coupler but all that means is the splines are steel instead of aluminum. Both use molded rubber to attach

    trolling motor assembly

Welcome Would be good to post a pic showing the brushes so we could have a better idea of how to do it. A trick I've used is string. Tie the brushes back using string, then when armature is installed cut and remove strings. Don't know if this would work in your case because I would need a pic
