    50TLRB Tilt Relay Mystery

Mercury offered a trim and tilt relay modification for those motors that were made for Mercury by Yamaha. Branded as Mercury models. As noted, some changed to the Mercury style of relays in lieu of staying with the Yamaha relay assembly. Seems to be what you have.

    2001 F115 alternator output

It relates because Yamaha says that the electrical generation system of the F115 is compatible with an AGM lead acid battery. The age is irrelevant.

    2001 F115 alternator output

Yamaha seems to think that the F115 is compatible with AGM lead acid batteries. Been approved by Yamaha since 2013. Many folks were using AGM lead acid batteries with Yamaha motors long before Yamaha "approved" them.

    2001 F115 alternator output

No buffer needed. The electrical generation system will output what is needed, up to the limits of the system. Might take a few minutes to charge the battery or might take a few hours to charge the battery. Depends upon the state of charge for the battery.

Trim Function for Yamaha 90 Four Stroke

Even though For a fellow so conversant in trouble shooting and detailed repairs, and one knowing that the OP's motor uses a relay assembly containing two individual integrated relays, as opposed to similar motors that use two physically separate relays, a very strange question to be asked. Even...

Trim Function for Yamaha 90 Four Stroke

Got it. One semi-sealed relay assembly with one part number containing two relays equals two relays. Similar, but different, to two separate relays having different part numbers equaling two relays. Try call Yam and ordering up the one of the two relays in the relay assembly that has failed...

2005 yamaha 250 hpdi Stator or Rectifier

Mr. Customer, I can spend a few hours taking your old pump motor apart to try and repair it, at a hundred bucks an hour, hoping that it is repairable and that such repair will last, parts being extra if needed, or I can spend half an hour and $140 installing a new part with a warranty. What's...

2005 yamaha 250 hpdi Stator or Rectifier

Just trying to do better. I am led to believe that not taking a component apart to find the core source of a problem is a failure to perform adequate trouble shooting. Would be a waste to take a component that does not perform (say an ECU or a stator) and simply replace it rather than opening...

Trim Function for Yamaha 90 Four Stroke

I knew that I should have paid more attention in school. Apparently one plus one equals two while one also equals two. New math I suppose.

The section of the wiring diagram I posted shows one relay assembly. The parts breakdown illustration I posted shows one relay and two relay assemblies. One trim/tilt relay assembly. One starter motor relay. One main and fuel pump relay assembly. I shall refrain from asking for your help in...
