    I doubt it because you said the diode was overheating (Post 2 pic). If it was shorted out you wouldn't be able to turn the motor off. Blowing the fuse and diode getting hot leads me to the TKS module

    Diode over heat and 20 amp fuse blows, sounds like the TKS module Apply 12V thru a fuse to TKS and ground the other lead to see if fuse blows

    Bummer, but you tried I have an electric pump and use a piece of 3/8 gas line and hose clamp. Clamp hose to top of dip stick tube, makes it easier to suck out but still more difficult when cold

    The pump gets powered direct from the starter when cranking and thru the oil pressure switch when motor is running

    Fuel pump 861155a3 is a boost pump, meaning it is installed between fuel filter and cool fuel pump. The pump was a add on pump to help stop vapor lock on motors. This pump does not produce the 43 psi your looking for The HP pump you need is 861156A1 which is NLA from Merc but can be found on line
