    Difference between 2014 Yamaha F8 and F9.9

Are you trying to compare an F8SMHA with an F9.9SMHB? Just saying F8 versus F9.9 is no longer enough. These are the two models that were manufactured in 2014. Open the Yamaha parts catalog for the F8SMHA. Open the Yamaha parts catalog for the F9.9SMHB. Then open the same illustration for each...

Trying to figure out what model/year this is.

I have not a clue as to where it was distributed. I would suspect that a 1984 25GM model would be very very very similar to a 1984 USA 25SN/25LN/25ESN/25ELN model, as applicable. Presumption being that your model has two cylinders.

Trying to figure out what model/year this is.

1984 model year motor. Model 25GM . Just like the label says. Where are you located? This is a US website. The 25GM model was not distributed in the USA by Yamaha US. That is why you will not find it at the Yamaha USA website. If that is where you have been looking for parts.

    Yamaha f90 starting issue

If the throttle has to be opened to help start a fuel injected F90 then something is amiss within the motor.

    Yamaha f90 starting issue

Carefully inspect the main engine harness wires to the IAC connector. The wires have been known to snag on the cowling when the cowling is being removed and getting damaged. Carefully inspect for any signs of damage. Might be hard to see.

1992 Pro V 115 Oil Bypass - Low power question

What country are you in? There was no 1992 P115 offered by Yamaha USA here in the US. First model offered in the US was the P115TLRR. 1993 model year motor. By low power I am presuming that you mean the motor is going into the RPM reduction mode. Low oil in the main oil reservoir will cause...

    Yamaha f90 starting issue

No choke. That model is fuel injected. Are you saying that the motor will crank but not start until you bump the throttle handle forward?

Source for Factory Gray paint...not blue gray

The name really means nothing. I don't see any blusishness in the colour chip. Do you want the colour to be like it was when new or do you want the colour to be like it is now? If the latter, go to a paint supplier and have them colour match your old and faded paint. Now painting a 15 year old...

Yamaha f115 tlry losing prime during idle

Have someone pump the primer ball continuously to keep the VST filled while the motor is running at an idle. Just a squeeze every so often should do. If the motor does not stall, that would further me to repair/replace the low pressure fuel pump. Using the primer ball will do what the pump is...

Yamaha f115 tlry losing prime during idle

No more than about 5 psi I would imagine. Yamaha does not list a specification for the low pressure pump.

Yamaha f115 tlry losing prime during idle

It would appear that the lift pump is not keeping the VST filled with fuel. Particularly if the motor will continue to run if and when the primer ball is being pumped. The high pressure pump is located within the VST. If the high pressure fuel pump is allowed to run without fuel (which may be...

    Determine counter engine

Not so in all models. Here is an example where the same gear case casing is used for both the regular rotation model and the counter rotation mode. Only some internal parts are different.

    Determine counter engine

Depending upon the boat, what you heard may or may not be true. And if true, it may not be an issue for you. Only way to find out is to see for yourself. If you have two regular gear cases now why not simply try them? If it is unacceptable then try and find a counter rotating gear case or...
