    Should be looking for volts not ohms, unless your talking about across contacts The original problem was motor won't shut OFF. If that's still true then there should be 12V on the coil with key OFF

    Unable to determine what manufacture but do see some corrosion issues. Maybe remove wires, clean and reinstall may fix the issues, or at least some of them

    Motor not shutting off may be a bad key switch or other. With voltmeter check for power on the purple wire with key off. If you have power with it off then disconnect purple wire and see if it goes dead. If it does not go dead look for something miswired

    Which distributor does it have? DDIS or EST EST resembles a standard cap, the DDIS does not

    That would be my guess also. Disconnect the tie bar and see if it's one or both

    Actually there should not be a orange wire under the helm. If it is coming from ALT it probably is hot all the time. The hot wire going to the key switch should be Red/Purple

    Welcome Only a person with the exact boat might be able to answer the question. Just trace the wires or remove both ends from the breaker and connect together. Then see what works

    Pull plugs and compare plugs, all should look the same. If they do it could be it's probably the idle circuit in the carb.

    Correct Correct This is the unknown I have not seen where "these gauges" use the North American standard but do "think" they do. The standard is 30 ohms to 240 [edit mistake in range]

    805218T is the Temp switch and not for a gauge 806490T is for Water Temp gauge 8M0068764 is for oil pressure gauge
