Start and run Mercury 5.7 on stand

The ECM applies grounds to relay coils to energize them, and this isn't happening. If it was mine I would open the ECM (drill rivets out if needed) and see if it needs to be dried out. If all good then have it tested

Start and run Mercury 5.7 on stand

Submerged that helps I would replace the relays, but could swap them to see if things change. Local auto parts will have the relays that will work the same, just may not look the same. Could also remove the cover off the ECM to see if it needs drying out If it was salt need to do as Scott...

Start and run Mercury 5.7 on stand

ok, Check fuses, there is at least 3 of them When power is applied to pin C does the MPR (main power relay) click? When power is applied is there 12V at the fuel pump? Note, power energizes the MPR which powers up the ECM. The ECM then applies a ground to the FPR which would turn the pump ON...

    Dean's List gets another motor

There 088 GM cast heads Also came across the head gasket issue but think were good with it. 502 STD bore 4.446 454 bored .060 over 4.310 The first 502 head gasket set picked up was larger then the bore of the 454.

    Dean's List gets another motor

Never thought head bolts would be such an issue. Mistake 1 was to use a 454 as the baseline for the head, wrong. Find a ARP kit 3607 which comes with 3 different lengths and 8 are 5 inches which are to long. Original bolts removed from head were 24 each at 4.187 and 8 at 2.187, with speck...

Alarm and then limp mode 2015 Mercury 50 hp 4 stroke

If this is a EFI motor look for another sensor on the head. Could be the temp sensor is the issue, otherwise need a scan

If that's the ECM temp sensor then that's what's sounding the alarm, otherwise need to scan the motor to find out what is causing alarm

"Christmas staff fund charge" on my marina bill?

My marina hasn't started this kind of thing "yet", but they did start charging 5% if a credit card is used. Marina gets charged around 3% and they charge 5. The ruff point is if your paying cash/check you have to ask them to remove it
