    Frogs, Lizards and Wasps

My grandfather made frog legs at least once a week. And we had liver and onions every Friday night. I still miss his cooking. His Beef Stroganoff was to die for. He was a firemen in Chicago back in the 20’s and had some really good recipes. Right up until the day he died he would in a flash as...

Could be some blockage somewhere. Were they any missing pieces of the first impeller you changed? Check the thermostat as well to be sure it’s not stuck closed.

Trailer bearing blowout. Need help with repair(s)

If it’s not a commonly stocked axel they probably have to make it to order. Your on the list as I like to say.

    Boat opinions

There is not a lot weight to a wrangler and although it may pull a large boat the boat may win the tug of war on the ramp. It definitely limits your options.

I’m waiting as well. I have never had a problem with any 3m products but things change and not always for the better.

    Frogs, Lizards and Wasps

Carpenter bees were really bad this year for whatever reason. They have slowed down now but spring was brutal. They sure do love cedar trim. But it’s good for business on my end.

    Trailer guides

I have rollers on guides and they are great. I have a flat bottom 18’ skiff so there is nothing to hold me in place. I most often launch solo so having the guides especially on a windy day is perfect for me.

    Evinrude 75hp 1976, difficulties accelerating

I do not and timming should be fine if you didn’t mess with it. What your after is getting all the throttle plates to open at the same and correct time. With the cam follower being off I suspect they are not.

Did you do a link and sync after cleaning the carbs? Sounds like it’s starving for air.

    Cicada

I wouldn’t hesitate to try these. We have a lot here this year but not what I would consider an invitation. It’s been about ten years or so since we had an invasion and it was crazy.

    Cicada

I have a pressure pot. I’m no stranger to using epoxy on all sorts of stuff. I just haven’t done an insect yet and was wondering if I should try and dehydrate it first. I’ll see how it goes and post the results.

    Cicada

I caught a Cicada in my shop this morning. I may try to cast it in clear epoxy. Anyone ever tried this?

    1975 Johnson 70hp

Just keep in mind if your going to run it no fuel means no oil in that top cylinder. If it were me I would just do the carbs and be done with it before running it again.

    1975 Johnson 70hp

Not sure what happend to rest of my last post. Aside from checking for spark I was also going to suggest checking the idle circuit. No fuel no oil. When you get into higher rpm’s you may start getting fuel then. Confirming your theory of losing the top cylinder at low rpm’s.

Check for spark on the top cylinder to be sure it’s firing.
