    When running the voltage powering the coil goes thru a resistor which "should" drop the voltage down to around 9V. There is probably a weak connection in the key switch so voltage jumps around. It will start without full voltage (green wire) but will have a harder time doing so mostly when cold.

    How was this checked? My guess is the motor took on water from stopping abruptly. Need to take all plugs out and crank the motor over a few times. If it doesn't start after that, go thru the TBV troubleshooting guide

    Check your fuel delivery system. Fuel filter contents in clear container. Disconnect power to coil and remove fuel line. Crank motor and see how fuel comes out, a little or a lot.

    I've got nothing then, just know how it should work You removed the Tan wire (yours is Green) and have 12V on the post, not the wire. That wire feeds power direct to the coil and back to the key Maybe the new solenoid is bad, or its wired internally different

    Another idea, get everything good and clean the JB weld it on. Again it will be a real pain if it ever did leak or had another problem
