    4.3 diesling

Cooler/Colder Air is Denser, thus has more O2 per, whatever unit you want to measure it by, thereby making a bit more Power. Rainstorms often drop the Air Temp by several Degrees, and that to leads to a better feeling engine.

    Evinrude big twin 40

As the Driveshaft is not bolted to the Pinion Gear, there will be Up and Down Movement, limited by the Key in the Pump, and when installed by the Crankshaft. Not sure what you mean with "Woodruff Key was in the Cup". Are you saying it is installed? So, it is all together, and no water? Is the...

    4.3 diesling

I found Retarded Timing to increase the Chance of Dieseling, as the Throttle is opened more to maintain Idle Speed, and the Retarded Timing causes the Engine to run Hotter. As mentioned above, Deposits on the Piston, the Head can create Hot Spots that can ignite a Combustible Mix While running...

Trailer bearing blowout. Need help with repair(s)

Galvanized Drums? Well they will look Prettier, but where the Braking Surfaces, will have the Plating removed, and therefore will still Corrode from Salt Water. Inspections would need to be More Diligent, as a shiny Outside, may lead some to think that the Braking Surfaces are Corrosion Free

The Car Manufacturers and the Government should also be charged every time a Person driving with only the Daytime Running Lights on at Night gets a Ticket. They stupidly have the Dash Lights to be on when the DRLs are operating, and people end up thinking they have Driving Lights, so they never...

    Knocking when turning

The first instance sounded like Bad U-joints. Did you test the Joints movements for any Binding or Tightness once you had it out, or did you just start hammering away at the Bearing? The Gimbal Bearing has a specific Location to sit. If you managed to drive it from its Rubber Mount, it is likely...

    75 evinrude 9.9 not firing

You might as well Break the Electrode Off, and it is unlikely the Gap between the Center Electrode and the Wall is even that wide/ Get a Spark Gap Tester(damn, can't post a pic of it) Get some wire, a block of wood, a couple of screws and you can make one.

    Knocking when turning

Oh, I was thinking the Shaft with the U-Joints wasn't going in. If the Gimbal Bearing itself won't go in, is it the correct Bearing? Has the Grommet It fits in, properly seated? Older I/Os where the Gimbal Bearings were Greased via a Tube from an External Grease Fitting, could have had...

The Tech on the XT5 is actually easy to use and understand, but some I think are Useless and Never use. Those are Nav System, Apple Play, Onstar, and that pay Radio thing, kept getting annoying Texts/Emails, and Snail Mail from the last two for over a Year.
