    The exception to both not getting charged. If the ALT supplies power to a bad Bat, then the ACR will charge neither because it doesn't connect a Bad to a good one.     Never seen one like that and would be guessing. My guess is the piece that comes down to keep the latch closed also applies the break if it comes loose. If it was mine, I would get rid of it and install a more modern one

    Don't know what boat, but if the boat is small and light and everyone is sitting on the stern, water can flow back into the exhaust elbow.

    Agree with Lou I've never used the grease fittings on the coupler, just to hard to get to (always in the wrong place), and I use a long screw driver and blob some grease inside before install

    Thanks, the SN does show L29 No way one injector will cause all cylinders to go black on one side. Check your fuel pressure = 43 psi The MAP sensor or vacuum leak can cause on over rich mix but with this just happening, I'm leaning more toward fuel pressure Can find out if there are any codes...

    If timing is not correct there can be backfire The old fords used nylon coated timing gears and the coating can break off. If it did, that could be the issue. Dont see a all steel gear jumping To verify remove valve cover and crank motor over watching valves and timing mark on damper.

    Motors are fairly simple and yours is perfect. Fuel pressure, timing (firing order on 5.0 is different then 5.0 HO), compression, compression, voltage all perfect, so guess I got nothing. Sorry but hope another can help

    With the tube being snapped off, just get a pry bar against it and bend it out of the way

    Need a better serial number Only way it may have a MEFI -2 is maybe if its a L29 model Fouled plugs one side and white on the other, double check all the plugs

    MY thought is there might be a small intake leak and had just enough to get a small amount into a cylinder. If that's the case, the PB sitting long enough should free it up over time
