I recall working on some small OMC outboards where plug gap had worn from 0.030" to 0.070"-------Means that motor / plugs were working fine up to that point.-----Many good sparkplugs are thrown out I think.
I see a new primer bulb for $82.75 and Sierra for $33.11.----This is for the primer for starting.----Not the primer bulb on the hose for filling the carburetor.
I can find the parts pictures with no issue.----Sounds like a bad check valve or dirt in the check valve.----Remove bulb from motor and try to flush it.-----Where are you looking for the parts ??
Supply and demand ??----When you are hot and thirsty you will pay $3.00 for 1 liter of water.-----At that price Canada should start selling the water in the 5 GREAT LAKES to the world.
I found those primer components in about 30 seconds for that serial #-----Do you understand what this little primer bulb does ??-----What is your motor doing / not doing ?
You need to install the repair kit to stop the leak.-----This wonderful electric primer valve replaces choke flappers.-----First came out in 1980 model year.----Used on 9.9 to 300 HP motors.----When you crank over the motor you push the key in.----This valve opens and sprays fuel directly into...
#15 is the high speed jet.---Calibrated to provide the correct amount of fuel at full throttle.-----Often forgotten / overlooked during cleaning.----Or missing altogether when changing out warped float bowls.
What pitch is the prop that you are using now?-----And is the motor well maintained?-----You need a new water pump impeller in that motor about every 5 years.----Or test the hot / overheat horn , if control box has one.
