    There's always relays and that's what those two wires do unless you have an aftermarket trim and tilt. Post pictures....under cowl and the t&t system.

    Normally they hook to the trim relay. Here is a video of relay replacement.....look near the end on where they enter the motor. I think you will find someone spliced different wires into the relay.

    The temp sending unit could be bad....sending an intermediate slow mode even though it's not an overheat situation. Compression should always be your 1st go to though.

    That drain hole is like smaller than your finger so if you get a lot of rain or take water over the bow it fills up pretty fast. Definitely a poor design. Mine was plugged with sand. Yes, it all trailed back to a pump in the back. I think I heard whaler bought them and discontinued the line.

    Could be fluid, could be pump. Easy to check.

    Why do you think you need to re-seal the motor? Was there water in the oil? I think you should be more positive, you will do fine.
