    Mercruiser 6.2's port runs rich

Thanks for the SN Decided to look before going to bed If its oil then is power steering If its fuel then is the fuel module If its neither, then you can look at the plugs and find the one which is really clean because its being washed clean by fuel. The other plugs will be darker color

Oil sheen in water after start up

That's a pretty good leak. Check the motor oil level and power steering. If their good, then need to get the drives checked

    First time water in bellows

Agree, this was the one on my cruiser so its Merc original factory install. Repower Should have took a pic, but it didn't look right after removing the drive. I removed the sleeve and reinstalled the sleeve. The boot looks fine, even the edge

Hey Dilidds, knock, knock is anyone home??? You have been ask a few times about the number We need to know what your serial number is? Looks like the serial number might be on the tag on the plastic cover in your pic. With fuel getting in the water I'm wondering if the fuel cooler has a leak...

    First time water in bellows

Pulled the drive as usual and for the first time found water. There wasn't much but enough and the issue was caused by the boot sleeve. This spring when installing the drive it was a bit harder then normal, and I chalked it up to getting older. It wore me out just sliding it in place. So...

    Second Happiest Day . . .

Getting a uscg cert captain is easy,, the issue is how good they are. Reason, sister has hired at least 4 over the last several years and 2 of them damaged her boat, and did not have insurance. She has a 52 foot Jefferson and cannot be moved by one person, so hence the need. Look close and get...

350 Mag MPI intermittent rough running.

Not sure if its readable with a meter. My thought was use the ohm scale and check the wires from the ECM connector to DLC pins

350 Mag MPI intermittent rough running.

Clamping the vacuum hose to the IAC smooths the idle is different. Something is telling the IAC to open more when it shouldn't. Could ring out the other 2 wires going to the DLC. If they are there then you would know its the cable to lap top

    3.0 mercruiser valve adjustment

Was the block boiled? If not maybe the oil passages are clogged? Could verify by starting the motor and see if oil works up the push rods

    Rinker Captiva Fuel Tank

Yes it comes out but is a lot of work. The tank is foamed in and the foam has to be cut and pried away from the tank. The deck is cut away and then the hard work starts. Post a pic further away, your real close which makes it hard to get a perspective

    Battery storage in parallel?

All good so long as none have an issue. If one has an issue, then they all get hit, so I wouldn't. Just move the tender to a different Bat every couple weeks

Dual vs single water inlet outdrive?

The dual water pickup is far less likely to be blocked by a plastic bag getting wrapped on the drive. If it happens its usually higher on the standard location. Water is forced in no matter if its lower or standard as the boat is moving. Only down side is running it on the hard, with having...

    Steering problem

It doesn't need to be in the water to bleed, but may need to be to verify https://www.seatechmarineproducts.com/content/SeaStar/How-To-Bleed-SeaStar-Outboard-Hydraulic-Steeering.pdf...

5.0GL - No Power at Coil

The notches on the cam is used for a auto. This would be used for fast idle and would have an adjustment screw which would make contact. Boats don't need it A boat doesn't use the vacuum source like an auto either so its not needed

    Steering problem

The steering needs fluid and bleed or there is a problem with it. In most cases there is a problem because it shouldn't need either. Your probably going to find that repairs will be needed Hydraulic steering is great when it works.
