    Still seems a bit slow for that hull. Either you're still over propped or you have an issue. I'd check compression, at least to get a baseline. Should be getting 4800 rpm with just you on board.

    Are you able to see which temp rises first? WAG is that once you start to stress it and pressure doesn't rise, exhaust temp would rise first followed by ECT.

    That looks pretty smooth. Is the shift plate moving when you shift with the engine off? On muffs? On the water? Did you try leaving the shift assist plunger disconnected like BT suggested? You said the plate now moves easily with everything disconnected, and snaps back centered? See what happens...

    Yes, it's difficult to repair. No, you don't need it. Seems like you have enough issues to take care of, I'd leave that one until you do your bellows. I haven't had a trim gauge or limit switch in years

    You install the lips in the direction of the stuff you're trying to keep out. If I were designing it, I'd install upper seal lips up to keep oil in, and lower seal lip down to keep water out. However, Merc would apparently rather you get water in the drive rather than lose oil, so they recommend...

    The ps cooler is an obstruction point. Did you back flush aft of the cooler as well?
