    Bottom cylinder sounds bad 1997 evinrude 3 cylinder

    Index the flywheel and check #3 for intermittent spark. Swap the coils as they are a pressed powder core and easily broken from overtightening. This can cause coil to intermittent or double fire. If still intermittent place meter inline and see if DVA voltage is low when coil is attached.

    This is a small bore looper and compression is 10-15 psi low. Pull head or scope cylinders as this is a bridgeport block and bad about scuffing exhaust side of piston when overheated. Bridge and exhaust port will be scuffed

    Timer base just tells pack when to fire , has no control on spark voltage output. Pack has single capacitor that share all 3 cylinders. Pack could have a weak switching to output of that cylinder. Need to DVA test pack output to cylinders to see if its pack/coil or wire

    I have seen the fuel line from parts housing turn fuel orange. I think this is due to dye being leached as it only a few pumps and its gone

    Could have blown cylinder head O-ring but more likely divider plate gasket or hole burnt thru. I have to agree with Racer, as that much water out of cylinder there is internal rust problems.

    Chemicals and cleaners WILL NOT clean filters in injectors, it will cleanup the fuel system but it all ends at injector inlet. Injector will need pulled and screeen and o-rings replaced.. Need a kit like below
