So I got to doing the inevitable... I had to grind down the gelcoat on the splashwell. TG I had a nice day to do it outside. Also found a spot where the ply/glass I placed was coming off the shell of the splashwell. Attribute that to @ 3 years out in the weather, rain, snow, freezing...

Well had to retarp up the boat. Used most of the old ones and relocated as needed. New tarp showed up 30' x 20'. So placed that yesterday morning when I got home from work. Set the lights back inside and just cleaned things up a little. Big tarp usually gets me thru 1 season and lets me work...

sphelps needs to be a U shape. Do not want a post. I know waht you mean. The w/a U I believe I would need a bottom support to some degree. What if I come up off the bottom like 4-5 " think I would still need xtra strength? I would like the whole unit to be removable. Definitely times I won't...

Ok....... So I did decide to use the old splashwell with some mods. It had a lip on it that let you put the ply under and in the middle a lip to set the deck floor on. Grinded it out. So I got rid of all that stuff with Mr Grinder. Did a template and cut to fit some ply. I like the end result...
