    2 Yellow wires from stator connect to rectifier. they are interchangeable.

    Weak battery. Dirty connections on starter, solenoid, ground wire. Weak starter, needs a cleaning or rebuild. Try starting by placing jumper cables on battery and connecting directly to the starter.

    Just a guess, but start with a 10p or 11p, and then check the rpm with the tach you are going to buy, something like a TinyTach, cheap, portable, easy to use.

    your whites are all ground wires, they can be connected together. There are a few companies that still make the harness with full length ground wires running to all the lights. But everyone I've seen require you to buy the complete harness, not just the connector with pigtail wires.

    You might want to disconnect cable from motor and see just how much the motor can turn. Some older motors just don't turn as far as you might expect them to. You could spend time and money fixing this "problem" only to find you end up with the same result.
