    Good, your overheat issue is fixed, now its a gauge/sender issue Check your sender with a ohm meter and pan of water

    I got nothing Guessing from first post: The ECM was fired somehow. You got another ECM but did not find out what fried the first one prior, so it fried the second I hope that is not the issue, but just guessing

    Dealer isn't a PCM dealer. I would normally say look to Rinda, but being this is a PCM 555 (and not a Merc PCM 555) it doesn't look like Rinda had anything to read it. Sorry to say, but I'm out of my league to help.

    The lube bottle, is open (has lube) or closed (has no lube) and it just grounds one side. Don't throw parts at it, get it scanned, or use the paper clip and LED to figure it out

    Find out if the gauge is accurate. Get an IR temp gun and measure the thermostat housing to see if gauge shows the same.
