    If its a salty dog nuts/bolts/studs/ lower unit could be siezed and break off.. Best find a late model freshwater motor and replace.

    If you have no spark use the testing spec to see if trigger or switchbox. The wiring rots inside the trigger sleeve and as it rotates it can loose connection.

    The trigger tells the switchbox when to fire ..similar to electronic points .Get the testing instructions before buying parts.

    Plugs....B8HS Plug gap.... .024 Idle in gear RPM 900-950 Max RPM.......4500-5500 Idle timing .....2°BTDC +/- 1° Pick up timing....6° BTDC WOT timing.........22° BTDC. Max timing is factory set and the stop screw has a red sealer on it. This timing does not go out of spec unless fingered with.

    There are differences in carbs and block porting between a 90 and 115. The 115 carbs depending on model have bigger venturi,different emulsion and pull over tubes thus a different A/F ratio from carb.
