First stop using starting fluid, it can damage things
Need to clear up some terms
I'm seeing it will crank but not turn over, for me these terms are the same. The motor won't crank or the motor won't turn over, both say the starter is not cranking/turning over the motor. I believe your...
The GL-A has other alarms and any of them can turn the alarm ON. I'm seeing Temp and 2 exhaust temp switches. You probably do have low oil pressure but it could be the switch.
If it is the oil switch could change to 10w40 dino oil and that should bring the pressure up a bit
No, that is not how it is done
The flat top distributor cap (HVS) is not adjusted with a timing light, it is adjusted without the motor running at all. This is Merc but is done the same way
Check your connections and voltages
Should have 12V on pin 85 while cranking and 12V full time on pin 30. When cranking power will pass when relay is energized from 30 to 86
Both the kill switch and the key need there own ground wire. In the pic see that a black wire comes off one of the M terminals to ground, along with the kill switch
Got all the pumps in and I'm getting impressed by Aurelio Tech (Person & Co out of MA). Either tey are coping ideas and improving on them, or others have been coping off them. There is a 1100 GPH bilge pump for only $16 and it looks like Rule, colors and all.
The one I picked up to compare...
Don't pay any attention to the "metric", note the position of the ring gear on the flywheel. Do note that if yours in it the wrong place it can be moved/replaced
I'm on my 4th complete shower bilge, have 3 sitting on the shelf. Last one bought had the Sarhara 500S pump. Looked like a good self contained pump with built in float switch. This is the first year for this shower bilge. During winterization I did the usual and soaked up all liquid and put...
Your file in your post above has an error, unable to see
The EST distributor uses 12V to interrupt the distributor on the right hand connector. The interrupt switch needs to be changed from applying a ground to have it apply 12V
This is a Merc 4cyl but works the same, and this shows how to set...
Fuel pressure should be between 3 to 7 psi from idle to WOT
Get some rubber fuel line and barbed fittings to make a Tee fitting to measure. Can also get Merc fitting 91-18078
Points 85 and 86 go across the coil of the relay, and 86 goes is ground.
When the motor is cranking 12V should pass thru the Yel/Red wire, thru the diode to pin 85.
When the motor is running 12V comes from the alternator green wire, thru another diode to pin 85.
When ignition is turned to ON...
Steering to the right would be easier because the prop is spinning that direction, and hard to left because your pulling against the prop.
Is the slot straight up/down as in pic "d" with wrench on it
There is a fuse on top the starter which feeds power to the motor and alternator, its 90 amps
But if it blows, normally there is no power for anything.
Why are you running power from the battery to the slave?
This changes everything  my bad, I was off in the wrong arena
Smartcraft uses a CAN bus, but .... that gauge will connect to the data link. The kit should come with instructions, but it basically gets daisy chained form the harness of other gauge. You do have to install the sensor...
Correct, it happens just behind the intake water hose where it attaches to the transom assembly. Not a hard fix, and is usually done when replacing bellows. My 95 Rinker had no signs of it by installed the new design anyway when replacing bellows
