How much water pressure is too much, for running on the hose?

Is that a dead head measurement? 90 is... well very good for a water service (we only get about 72 in our system.) At work I've run on the booster service which is around 120 psi... it's just going to leak out the muffs imo. Not an issue.

View of unloaded trailer with pickups

I found the mirrors on the ford and gmc to be a little small and high to be useful when backing up an empty trailer... though that means under normal driving they are adjusted properly... that being said they have a feature where they tilt down in reverse and then its okay. I assume its a curb...

    I/O (Sterndrive) Conversion to Outboards

It was just a curiosity more than anything. I have seen the occasional transom with 2.25" core (3x 3/4 sheet core vs the normal 1.5 and layup). I wonder if it was just a selling/cost saving point and nothing more. I agree that it doesn't add anything. There are some out there for whatever reason...

    I/O (Sterndrive) Conversion to Outboards

Is the core thicker on the outboard version or is there just more internal bracing?

Decent transmission rebuilder to get a rebuilt/ Reman 6L80E

My local shop closed... that being said monster I've heard some horror stories about.

    I/O (Sterndrive) Conversion to Outboards

Yeah. Even at 1% when I was glassing at 100f that stuff was cured by the second layup (half hour or less). Poly was hell to work with when warm. You could always bump up the catalyst too. 3% is still acceptable for most resins at the right conditions. Though I understand why you'd want to be...

    I/O (Sterndrive) Conversion to Outboards

I don't know. I know guys chill poly when doing layups in the heat... I'd imagine it would work fine the other way. Once it kicks... it kicks in my experience with it.

    I/O (Sterndrive) Conversion to Outboards

You could probably preheat the resin in a warm bath to help too... Starting with uncatalyzed resin at 75-80 degrees may help?

Alpha 1 Gen 2 - leak & transom service questions

I had a leak after rebuilding my boat and resealing the transom that drove me crazy. It ended up being the shift cable bellow that was damaged from new. It is hard to see without a camera but mine looked like the y pipe leaking as well and was always worse running. If you decide to do the...

    Impeller replacement glycerin and grease

I agree any grease is fine. On the impeller it's using the glycerin because it's non toxic/bio degrading. I use grease on that on my diesels or dish soap or whatever lubricant I have around as the Volvo impeller for that doesn't come eith the glycerin packet... don't over think it imo.

    Brake based limited slip differentials

Yeah. Works out right now that the boat hull is just over the fender so I couldn't lower it more if I tried. I also only have an inch or so before the hull hits a cross member. I think its 70" between the fenders.

    Brake based limited slip differentials

Mines a 90" trailer, a 96" would be much more desirable. I can go that far, it just doesn't seem to center as well.

    Brake based limited slip differentials

The ramp at the lake is steep. My girlfriend was in charge of parking the tow vehicle last time we went up there and she spun with the empty trailer going up. She just isn't used to that much power lol. On that ramp the truck stays dry. My normal ramps the back tires are in water to be able to...

    New Stuff on Vehicles likes/dislikes

My one exam was figuring out if an incandescent light bulb would keep oscar the grouch warm in a trashcan in Antarctica with forced convection... you were allowed one side of an index card for that exam. (There were several other questions) I asked the professor if he wanted us to model it as a...

    I/O (Sterndrive) Conversion to Outboards

Someone definitely asked if they could test fit them first. I remember how much of a nightmare selling my 3.0l was.

    Brake based limited slip differentials

Mine are sandy dead end streets mostly lol. There aren't a ton of public ramps local to me and even fewer are "free". I'm not paying either 40$ a pop to launch or 200$ for the season when the free ones are adequate. My current tow rig has a gov lock rear end and 4wd so it is fine. The other...

    Brake based limited slip differentials

I've always had 4wd. I've never needed 4wd to get a boat up a ramp. My 04 had an open diff and was never an issue. Our ramps aren't very steep though.

    New Stuff on Vehicles likes/dislikes

Yeah recycled naming much like HEMI or LS/LT and so on. Its a twin turbo I6. Don't believe it shares much of anything from any other engine family at this time as it was mostly clean sheet. I am not big or up to date on FCA/Stellantis products as much as general/ford.
