    Suggestions on LongBlock Supplier

Be careful rebuilds are often a you pay for what you get type of thing. You hear horror stories of places like Jasper sizing rods and cranks individually to use up junk parts

    Mercruiser 120/140

Well, if you go too old, risers are different but you can swap any 2.5 or 3.0L without much issue. 1990 thereafter needs a different coupler but it’ll also work

    Newport Vessels Opinions

You can’t add extra parts and make something lighter… I’m a 4 stroke guy myself but, it’s the nature of the beast and it is what it is

    Metal floors

I’ve seen aluminum floors in aluminum boats getting popular. But not sure I subscribe to the same theory

    Tarps

Tarps are $$$$$$$ these days. I use cheap boat covers to cover boats. Use several sizes too large to cover with an A frame

    Johnson control box

It was supposed to be a PSX or whatever brand but it came unbranded. FWIW Vevor is probably the safest bet, they all come from the same factories but Vevor has customer support and an actual legit brand page. But they put their gaudy logo on everything

    Johnson control box

I have one in my boat for Mercury. It’s all there and of a decent quality. I’ve read the trim switches are garbage. Mine doesn’t use or have trim switches

    Marine or Auto oil pan

A rust belt winter is far harsher than any marine environment unless you get enough water in the bilge to cover the pan and even then it’s not as harsh

Need help finding controls for Mercury Sterndrive.

Check the wiring. Those switches work well. I thought mine were bad but I didn’t have power. You push the top 2 switches together to raise it to the full tilt position. IF they are bad, you can find push buttons that will fit in that panel

    NOCO LifeP04 in lawn mower

You can adjust the air gap of the PTO if you need to. It effects the draw

    NOCO LifeP04 in lawn mower

If it has an electric PTO then yes, it has a regulated system that puts out 10a or so much like an Outboard. Not all small engines have that good system. Some just use a few diodes with no regulator

    3.0 engine removal

I’m spoiled in that with an overhead hoist, I can pull a 3.0L in about 15 minutes. Front bolts, rear bolts. Shift and throttle cables. Plus fuel, water intake and the wiring. That’ll get it ready to yank… outdrive is first always. You can’t pull the engine forward enough to free it from the...

    Mercruiser 170/470 Starter Question

I think all Mercruiser engines are set up with 2 solenoids

    Automotive Diagnostic Tool

You can get a cheap scanner from Walmart that will show the data stream. A bi directional scanner will do more, if you have $300. A stumble can be many things. Fuel injectors being where I would look first

    mercruiser 888 383

6.0L truck would be an LQ9. Vortec is on the engine cover, but it’s just branding that GM uses

    mercruiser 888 383

A 383 would have a distributor. If what you are considering is an LS based engine. They are great but you need deep pockets to marinize them. Manifolds are around $1,200 and the marine starter isn’t cheap.. the conversions are getting common but almost all are nowhere near USCG compliance...
