    mercruiser 888 383

If you had an old crate engine that uses the Mercruiser MPFI manifold, than you could find the marine bits to put it together including a marine harness and ECU. That’s the only instance where it would be truly able to be converted since the manifold is the same

    mercruiser 888 383

383 would be on the edge of what an MC1 can handle. In those days, Mercruiser would pair high hp applications with a TR or TRS drive.. it would likely be okay but I don’t think I’d hammer it for hole shots

Seasonally changing Mercury 110 spark plugs

    I don’t think it’ll mess with a fish finder

Seasonally changing Mercury 110 spark plugs

Resistor has to do with radio interference. Basically you’ll buzz an AM radio with non resistor plugs but not much else on the water.

    1968 Crestliner Buccaneer w OMC Inboard 80hp

So looks like that engine is from a Ford Cortina. Rockauto lists a pump for $27. Not sure it’ll work but it might do. It’s not a marine pump so it won’t last long if it does work

    1968 Crestliner Buccaneer w OMC Inboard 80hp

Sadly. OMC used some very obscure engines in the early years. Mercruiser used a Renault engine that was around 90hp. Perhaps that one might be as well….. but your chances are somewhere between slim and none. Not meaning to be hurtful or anything just the way it is… see if you can identify...

1989 Mercruiser 2.5L 120HP motor overheating trouble shooting

If you have a blown head gasket, compression ends up in the water jackets. Compression creates bubbles which creates hot spots. That may be your problem

Anyone know of a Honda Grass trimmer dealer with good prices?

I’m not sure Honda is still selling them. I know they pulled the plug on walk behind mowers

    Whale tail Question

Purpose of the whale tail is to provide lift at the stern. 50hp on a pontoon, makes it wishful thinking

1989 Mercruiser 2.5L 120HP motor overheating trouble shooting

I was talking carburetor… if you are wanting to swap a 1991+ engine, you’ll need the conversion coupler

1989 Mercruiser 2.5L 120HP motor overheating trouble shooting

About $300 to have it done. Less than $50 if you can do it yourself… They should be jetted close but the throttle linkage may be different

1989 Mercruiser 2.5L 120HP motor overheating trouble shooting

Chance you may be able to use it. But it’s not the same. It fits the manifold

Gimbal did have a little water in it so I guess no surprise.
