    1973 ISLANDER REFIT

The major leaks are probably due to the rotten transom the IO transom assembly needs to have a solid transom or it will leak and sink your boat. Plywood if sealed and the boat taken care of properly will last many decades and most likely a lifetime. Anything left for the elements to ravage...

Starcraft Arrow does anyone have original pictures

Not many of us here are very familiar with or have materials for the glass models myself included. It is a cute little runabout though. :)

1975 StarCraft Mariner build "The Unicorn"

Yeah my SS was in 3 pieces too, not too many follow that and opt for a solid single piece. Those that have done 3 pieces to use less plywood used biscuits to join them to make it more solid.

1975 StarCraft Mariner build "The Unicorn"

You'll need 2 sheets of plywood due to the outsides of the transom being over 24". Also what plywood do you plan on using and the adhesive? I'm not a huge fan of using epoxy in over drilled holes mainly due to the tightening of bolts against the plug and how well it would take compression over...

    1972 Starcraft Nova

Yeah that's without a doubt, I remember @MNhunter1 15' Nova, Guess what would've been more accurate the V5 run were the start of smooth sides before the mid 80's went half lap, half smooth and that was the end of the lap sides for SC. The Nova's are one of the rare models and were a vey...

    1972 Starcraft Nova

Definitely a retro fit of the braces and the rib end crack I bet was there when they put in the braces but either they didn't repair it or see it. Easy repair for the crack, remove the solid rivets at the rib end, with a tiny bit stop crack drill holes at the ends of the crack. Fashion a...

    1973 brochure?

John, I downloaded all the brochures I could before they were wiped off PB. I could probably host them from my Onedrive so guys could have access again.

    1972 Starcraft Nova

I'm pretty sure the braces were factory installed starting in 1978. The first smooth sided SC boats were the V5s starting the same year although the HIN on my 22' islander says it was manufactured in 1977 but most likely sold as a 1978 model year.

    1965 Starcraft Holiday Restomod

I did some windshield work on a friends 65 Holly and ended up putting a windshield support brace in the center after reinforcing the frame.

Post a pic of your starcraft!

Welcome aboard, always nice to see another unmolested Chief, seems people buy them now only to scalp the cabin and make a run of the mill open tub.

    1972 Starcraft Nova

Now this is very interesting, a 72 Nova smooth hull that doesn't have lap sides and has the spray rail braces with a different rivet pattern on the outside for the braces. That's a first for me to see after seeing at least a 1000 SC boats of all years, models and sizes, the braces were added on...

    19?? Starcraft Jetstar

The leap frog method works well for me when gutted and no motor. You just remove winch tower from old trailer with boat, drop tongue on the ground, back new trailer up over the old to where it contacts the boat, hook winch strap of new trailer to the boat and winch it onto the new trailer.

1975 StarCraft Mariner build "The Unicorn"

The main thing with trailers are the bearings and seals. I recommend going through them all and if you see there is any grease on the inside of the wheels to replace the grease seals. They always seem to get blown out by guys over greasing the bearing buddy. Just went though this with my...
