    did the drive come off easily? you on to the point of shaft engagement so either the shift shoes are not aligned or alignment is a bit off

    Did the drive come off very easily? did you replace the gimbal gearing? try tapping the tool end in all directions ,then pull When removed drill a hole in the end or drill and tap for a eye bolt

    test both sires of the 50A breaker , must have power on both sides Check the orange alt output on the alt, should see battery voltage unless the 90a burned out.     most llikely the noise is from the seal under the water pump or the shift shaft seal.

    If you mean it will run if you hold the key to start and stop when you release the key, you missing coil voltage when you release the key to the run position. If you have a coil you can access easily run a wire from the + battery to the + side of the coil for testing
