    Nobody fishing?

On the Blue Cod ?.... no . The flesh is delicate and so easy to over cook . I think maybe if you pickled or pressure cooked and preserved it it might soften them a bit , but there are far more suitable ( cheaper ) fish to do that to . If you rip the skin off the fillet , as opposed to slicing...

    Marine Sea Foam

I think its a shame that the guy with the skills and patience enough to catch the best competition winning fish might loose it to some Rose Red with a faster boat . I take it then that everybody is going balls out from all directions at 80mph ,all heading for the same landfall at the same time...

Nah , It was a scratch built thing , he was using it to dismantle earthmoving machine hydraulic cylinders but modifying a crescent spanner sure is worth looking into.:)

    Marine Sea Foam

Why the hell does a bass boat need to do 60mph let alone 80 ? and need 300hp .Anybody doing those speeds around fishing areas here would get their pedigree read to them back at the ramp . To be fair its a nice looking boat and Im all for horsepower, but on a fishing boat .:)

Ha Ha I'll go one further and suggest that people who treat fishing gear with such contempt should be punished by having to listen to Luke Bryan :D

    cooking

Beef is expensive here , rib eye is getting on to $40/kg , fillet $50, where as a whole butterflied and seasoned chicken cost me $10. Pork is 1/2 the price of beef , and the Blue cod sells for close to $70/kg ..........yeah , it hurts to sit down after a lap round the supermarket . I...

    Hydraulic cylinder rebuild

Pin wrenches are one of them things that need to be reasonably stout , any flex will work against you , and you also need to clamp / hold the cylinder really well . You may be better off trying to crack that nut before removing cylinder , and get a bit of garden hose , 2-3 inches long ...

    Nobody fishing?

Mostly we heat them up somehow😂😂 , sorry. I always fillet them and take the skin off ,some peeps just cut a chunk of flesh out to remove pin bones but I usually pull them out with forceps . I prefer to crumb them and fry in real butter, also tempura batter (bit of corn flour to make it stick...

    Nobody fishing?

Blue Cod , arguably New Zealands best table fish Legal at 33cm but we dont take them unless they are knockin on 40cm . There is nearly twice the meat for another 7cm , and by that size they are sure to have had at least one breeding cycle .

    2 stroke longevity?

History would suggest ( particularly in America ) that machines could be made to last longer than the guy working it and at a profit . Now days there are to many freeloaders clipping the ticket , people or organisations injecting themselves into the process and then demanding payment . Im...

Best Outboard Motor Brands for Reliability and Long-Term Use

The only bad deal I have had was 2023 new Poozuki 6hp 4 stroke . The dealer insisted on a pre sale service which took 2 days ( silly me , I shouldnt have paid up front ) . Got it home and put it in a tub for a bit of a run prior to hitting the high seas . 1st thing I noticed was that the...

Yeah , funny that some knobby gits think they are saving the world but in reality they are putting more demands on coal fired ( we have them here too ) power stations and actually making things worse for the world . I like solar , In my new garden shed its way cheaper ( Yay Temu ) for me to...
