    tha "beeps" at first turn of tha key are self test beeps for tha oiler warning module.. if oiler is intact and being used ya gotta oiler and/or module problem if they don't sound... sounds like ya might have a bad sensor on tha float.. are you holding tha float down for a minute or two...

    over temp sensor is right below #1 spark plug.. will be "one" tan or tan/blue wire.. temp gauge (was an option on that motor) sensor will be a "two" wire sensor right below #2 sparkplug.. tha idle timing can vary quite a bit when first starting after complete linc n sync.. "finale" idle...

    tha '91 and up is a different block like faz says.. tha three main differences (All hp's) in tha '90 down and tha '91 up are tha block, heads and exhaust divider plate.. those parts will not interchange.. i've run '91 up blocks on tha "2.0' liter" (135/150 hp) 90' model down (your motor) adapter...

    thats jus a "brutal way" of tellin' ya ya gettin' some lame advice from somewhere.. unless ya come up with it on ya own.. faz, ya outta be ashamed :)) jus a coupla questions?.. ya looking for a complete, runnin' powerhead or justa "long block" type deal.. they will all (2.0. 2.4, 2.5's)...

    jus tha impeller?.. needs complete pump kit.. might consider a poppet kit also.. comp is a little low but that may easily be your gauge..

    injectors fire in pairs by ecu. 1 n 2, 3 n 4, 5 n 6.. if a single injector is suspect they should all be checked, cleaned and flow tested...

    stator (9 and 16 amp) position really has no particular clocking.. jus usually between 3 o'clock and 6 o'clock.. wherever you can get screw holes ta line up...........

    agree with faz.. but tha '91 is probably gonna be a 2.5 steel sleeve motor.. some (most) of tha power head parts are gonna be a little different compared to tha other two....

    first of all, "why did you get (decide ta work on it) into tha motor ta start with???".. when you rebuilt tha carbs were new gaskets used throughout including new accel. pump parts?.. was a link n sycn and timing done?... does it help if primer bulb is pumped when trying ta keep it running...

    reed plate has got to be removed... you have 8 3/8" down tha middle each side of main bearings.. 10 5/16", three on each outside edge, 4 holding top bearing cap. 4 1/4" holding bottom bearing cap.. sometimes you need a mallet to "tap" it in a few places ta get it to break loose
