    Did not work meaning what..... blow test failed ?? Why don't you try a new pump. That kicker looks real clean and giving up on it would be a shame. Reassembly (orientation of parts) is confusing the first time around.

    your engine is telling you it wants fuel ... hand pumping is not the solution.... it is an indication your pump is not sucking gas from the tank and not pushing it to the carb !! If the carb was full of fuel the engine should run longer but does not an indication the pump is not filling it...
