    Tubes were bonded in horizontally using epoxy.----Luckily I got the sticks for free.----To buy new sticks would be $60 each or more.----Aluminum tubing would work.----Is your present transom 100% flat?----Slightly curved ?

    I do not believe a prop change will boost speed by 18 MPH.-----How did the boat run for you last season?----You might want to do a dynamometer test on the engine to determine it's condition.

    I believe there is a limit switch.-----Stops UP motion.----Needed on some boats to prevent damage to the motor cowling.-----See if you can find it.----I do not believe that any tools are needed to adjust it.----Switch is item #80.----Cam to adjust it is #51

    The motor goes into reverse with a DOWN motion of the shift rod.-----The shift rod needs to go down right where the gearcase was smashed.----Hence it will not go all the way down to get reverse.----Time for another gearcase I think.----Your location ?

    Perhaps a case of " they look the same , but are not " --------And I believe you might have the wrong distributor cap.----Carefully examine this new one and compare to the old one.

    ?????----The ignition on a " Fat Fifty "----Was a belt driven , self contained magneto.-----A completely different ignition is found on a 69 model V-4.
