    Seaswirl schematic

You will find service manuals for engines, but nothing but owners manual for the boat itself. Very rare to find any type of wiring schematic for a boat.

My 2015 grand dodge grand 's towing capacity

Curious why you mention that.....I have found the front wheel drive to be helpful on slick ramps as long as the vehicle is towing within its capacity.

    4 stroke v 2 stroke. Outboard

Your Suzuki was probably getting tired out....my little Merc was a garage queen and only sees a few hours run time each season. Other than the decals being scratched up from being carried in a trunk, the motor is in showroom condition. It gets used on my 12' Jon boat on ocassion and is used as...

    4 stroke v 2 stroke. Outboard

Mabey not....my 1985 Merc 2.2 hp starts on second pull after sitting for 30 days. Idles right down to a crawl. Runs for over an hour on the little builtin fuel tank. Only weighs 30lbs, and cost a total of 200 bucks. I bet it will outrun your 4 stroke and far less cheaper to repair....lol..to...

    Bought a boat yesterday

Possibly a vent for a fuel tank if you have one near the front.

Glad you found your issue, and thanks for posting your finding !!

    4 stroke v 2 stroke. Outboard

Glad you got an improvement in performance, but from my experience, your two stroke probably needs a tuneup or it is getting weak. My like new 2.2 hp two stroke will run faster than my neighbors 2.5 hp four stroke on the same 12' Jon boat. Was probably time to replace the tired old girl....

My 2015 grand dodge grand 's towing capacity

Also keep in mind that most states require trailer brakes when the tow weight exceeds 2500-3000 lbs. Each state may vary but typically they are between the weights posted.

    Welding a pivoting Bow Stop?

Something did look "out of whack" but couldn't put my finger on it, until I saw your pic that you posted, then it became clear.

1978 Lund Deep V Hull, bow raising up dangerously high

Boat looks good there, but look at the weight being distributed with all those on board ! Spread out your weight by moving some further forward. Gonna need to experiment where it needs to be. Depending on how many people you have in the boat, you may need to shift weight each time you go out.

    Welding a pivoting Bow Stop?

When traveling on rough roads with a heavy boat you need more rollers for support. However you do it, the winch needs to pull a little below level even if you have to modify the winch stand, the safety chain should drop right down to the frame to keep the bow from lifting upon hard stopping...

1978 Lund Deep V Hull, bow raising up dangerously high

Looks like your motor could be tilted out a little more but not bad. From the look of the waterline you have a lot of weight in the stern. Check the pitch on your prop, probably will need to use less pitch to let the engine build up RPM. Anyway to add a portable tach onto your motor ? It...

    Welding a pivoting Bow Stop?

Your winch is pulling at a bad angle trying to lift the bow up. Your safety chain is of no help in case of emergency. Is the rear rollers or bunks right at the rear of the boat ? They should be as far rear as possible to support the transom. Once the support is under the transom, then adjust...

1978 Lund Deep V Hull, bow raising up dangerously high

I am sure you have to much weight in the rear and not enough hp to overcome that weight. Move fuel and battery forward, doesn't need to go all the way forward just get it forward of the stern. My old tinnie had a 6 gallon fuel tank on the starboard side and battery on the port side just in...

1978 Lund Deep V Hull, bow raising up dangerously high

20" transom ? 200lbs should not be an issue. What about fuel tank, battery etc, where are they sitting? Is your motor a 4 stroke?

1978 Lund Deep V Hull, bow raising up dangerously high

How much do you weigh ? A 15 hp on the stern should not cause that big of a difference. Pics ? Something is not right here...need pics of the motor and bottom of hull at the transom.

    1959 wizard 7.5 HP

When I was a young lad, my uncle had a ten hp wizard, the start position was about 3/4 throttle...when it fired up...hang on as you were suddenly flying across the water as there was no gear shift, just a yank and go !...he had that old motor for as long as I can remember, always ran great, just...
