    So after 3.5 hours of driving today, we have this. A replacement shifter for the 50HP Mercury! :D This is the shifter from the 70HP Mercury. Gotta find that cover!

    Yes, we did try mineral spirits but "The Blob" just laughed at that. :lol: I'll try xylene tomorrow. Temps are down in the 50s now and won't make it back into the 70s again until late this week. This last little bit of stripping will have to wait awhile longer.
