    There are 2 separate crankcases.----Each crankcase has a set of reed valves.-----Did you buy a factory carburetor kit or something else?----Offshore carburetor kits are known to have issues with the float valve threads.----Have you checked fuel pump diaphragm ?----

    Problem solved and lessons learned.----Know of one individual that had these " hooflungdung " kits in his motor for about 1/2 hour before going back to factory original.-----So it is true.----" The bitterness of poor quality is remembered long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten "

    I can 't believe that someone would use an impact wrench to spin over that 4 HP motor!!--A magneto in good condition will produce a strong spark with the recoil or rope wrapped around flywheel.

    Paid $80 CA for an Evinrude impeller for a 6 HP.----But it was an obscure commercial model 6 HP-----A 9.5 HP driveshaft modified to adapt to 6 hp crankshaft.----Extra horizontal fins on skeg.----Needle bearing below water pump.----Happy to pay the price for the impeller to put this unit back...
