This only applies to those equipped with single point drain systems. This is the 3rd boat that I have found the block drains "blocked" with scale.
You MUST remove the quick connect hose and probe the engine block drain holes .
Failure to do this critical stem will most likely result in a cracked...
working on a 6.2 that would not get out of its own way, would only turn 3100 rpm. Cool fuel unit was replaced under warranty but fuel press was pulsating
42-46 psi . Suspecting bad injectors, they were remove and sent out for cleaning. 7 were in poor condition for fuel flow and balance.

Tech Tip with the single point drain system, be sure to remove the quick connect fittings on both sides of the block.
They do close with scale and corrosion . The same thing happens with the so-called flushing system. The block connection become closed from corrosion and will not allow it to...
Getting close to the close of another season so do it right or pay the price.
You CANNOT spray fogging compound into a fuel injected motor`s intake. you will ruin the sensors. You need to make up a small gas can with the winterizing cocktail and hook it to the fuel inlet. Gas, Stabilizer...
For those that have this pipe going from the exaust manifold to the intake manifold a very short natural gas whip dies the trick and comes with the correct threaded fittings too. and is stainless steel
Got to hand it to the engineers on this one. 3 year old boat with the new emission package, cats, etc. operated very well the day before, the next day it was a no start. no fuel delivery, no fuel pump pre-prime sound. Everything else worked.
All engine breakers checked, all ENGINE fuses checked...

firing order for GM is 1,8,4,3,6,5,7,2 but that's not how the cap is wired. Did not see this mentioned in the manual and if you used the firing order it would not run right.
Like the title says, my buddy`s big block was acting funny. low compression , slight moisture issue. pulled the head and found the gasket blown between 2 and 4.
#4 intake lifter depressed about a 1/4 inch more than the rest.So new lifters and a head check coming.
What we did find that is worry...
What is the name of the unit that does the controlling? dash has a panel with 9 functions , and it all goes to a main control box in the engine room.
Cant seem to find it. Not Smartcraft System or vessel view.
For those impossible to find deck drains use a thru hull fitting shaved down to fit. Most will simply screw into the OEM threaded fitting.
If you cut off the hose area. The Wellcraft 28 coastal uses these for deck drains and fish box drains. Chucked in a lathe to skin it and reduce the diameter...
taking forever to load , 2 minutes to get to new topic, over 2 minutes to get a post up so you can respond to it.
sometime it dosent accept your post, or takes forever to post it or comes back with "critical error"
Somebody pass this to the IT guy`s.
very, very slow to respond, very slow to access a post, almost forever to have your typed response get posted, very long to return to a screen and the advertisements seem to have a lot to do with the slow down.
Happening again, post says 3 and you post an answer and it still says 3 . You have to access your post to see a response not just look at the response numbers
