    Tilt/trim pump

After you clean all the connections if it is still happening trouble shoot the solenoids or relays. You can swap the up one for down and see if the issue follows.

    Would you?

Absolutely. I dont think it would be great or safe on the highway. But I would not give the 4 mi trip a second thought unless the trailer brakes were non functional. Used to do similar trip with my dads 22 ft Catalina sailboat towed by a 98 Accord 2 dr V6. Looked goofy with the larger hull...

    Clutch Hydraulics, 1989 GMC C1500

You rebled the master or replaced the master again? Only other thing that may be influencing it is if the pilot bearing. If they get worn they can drag a bit or a lot. I think of the time this issue shows up at slow speed or parking

Anyone put a tower on a Regal Ventura 8.3?

Ok that makes sense. Not sure your budget you can spend a bunch for a custom fit tower like New Dimension https://www.newdimensiontowers.com/biminis these are custom built to your boat model and oem quality. The krypt tow worked great fro me but doesn’t look perfect as the side rails don’t fit...

Anyone put a tower on a Regal Ventura 8.3?

Not sure if you got any answers and no havent put a tower on that exact boat. I put this Krypt tower on my Sea Ray - was relatively easy and affordable. I was pleasantly surprised with how quiet this tower is when I got it on the boat...

    Bearing SKF #

On my merc alpha I tore it down and got the numbers off the bearings and races. Some merc bearings were similar price to the same SKF or Timken bearing from a bearing house, some were x2 price. I still don’t understand why the u joints are so expensive. My alpha gen 2 uses GKN ujoints, when you...

Say goodbye to Glastron as you know it

The Glastrons I've seen at the lake are pretty disappointing in terms of fabric and gel coat haze. This is in a northern climate where season is 3 months and and 20hrs a year or less is typical

    Mercruiser 357 question

If the delco works leave it. The problem with the Thunderbolt is if you need an ignition module , the delco system is cheaper than a module. Additionally now a lot of modules are NLA. if you really want more power and maybe it’s in a larger boat, put a stroker crank in it when you rebuild it.

    Mercruiser 357 question

Not sure it is just shift interrupt on the modules. If it were merc could use the same module with a bravo as shift interrupt never gets tripped. of course they do different modules for same hp alpha and bravo modules so who knows….

    Timing

Yeah try a delco one. as long as it is still advancing you can set it by total advance as a work around. Don’t recall what it is on your engine but if for example if it is 24 deg at 2800 rpm . With it not in base set the total when reving to 24 and let the base fall where it may

    Mercruiser 357 question

Your art number does translate to the alpha / 275hp version I looked at these engines when I repowered I think the difference is in the cam - https://www.marineengine.com/parts/mercruiser-sterndrive-parts/357-alpha-4v/1g400000-up/cylinder-block-camshaft-and-crankshaft part #11 has different...

Say goodbye to Glastron as you know it

Oh cocktails are guaranteed in this scenario. Same here, if we didn't have a place to keep the boat I probably wouldn't have one. My dad has a house on the same lake about a 1/4 mile from where my grandparents had a cottage starting in the early 60's. My kids are now hang a round with kids of my...

Say goodbye to Glastron as you know it

The only only issue will be when it needs upholstery. I had my sun pad redone 2 years ago was just under $1k. and took 4 months. I guess even if you spent $5-7 k on interior and $10k on engine/drive you would still be money ahead. My repower including buying a 21 ft bowrider with known cracked...

Say goodbye to Glastron as you know it

They all have I think you are looking at $60-70 for a typical 21 ft er, and its inane what folks are paying for wake boats. Don't get me wrong if I had the $$ I probably wouldn't be resealing my outdrive this winter ...

When you say you shorted the cutout switch do you mean Connect to ground or supply 12 v to the module cutout switch lead? You need 12 v to get it into base mode.
