2003 50 HP 2 stroke water pump question

Running on muffs will not confirm the pump is pumping, as the pressure from the muffs will make water come out the telltale. Running in a barrel or on the lake will let you know for sure....however, being a new to you motor, a new water pump should have been done right away !!

Buikd a framework from 2x2's or pvc pipes, make steep angles to shed water and tie it down. If your cover is puddling water, you don't have enough angle to shed the water or you need a stronger cover !! My last tarp/ cover was nade at a semi truck tarp shop, very heavy duty, about 15 yrs old...

It won't be getting better in our lifetime either...people need to make preperations to live with it, rather than fight it by buying EV's thinking everything will change when we do. 1995 Mercury 40hp 2 stroke- It Cranks, Has Spark & fuel. Won't start!

Can you turn it over with a pull start rope ? If you had enough water in the fuel, it could gave rusted and siezed, but overnight ?? If you can turn it over by hand then the starter is bad or the battery is low.

    Mercury 30hp non starter?

Can't say for sure, but I would think 125 or there abouts but compression can be low from sitting and having dry cylinders.

    Mercury 30hp non starter?

A little low but should be workable, could be a little low from sitting....dry cylinders from using ether starting fluid, you might try wd40 so it doesn't scuff the cylinders like ether can do

    Mercury 30hp non starter?

Could be many things, because it has run in the past are the carbs clogged from sitting ?? Any rodent damage in the electrical wiring, they love to chew on wires. Are the plugs firing ?? Have you run a compression check ?? You might find a reason it has sit all those years!! Many years...

FWY Trailering 2855 with Dinghy on swim platform

Many states have overhang laws, meaning the rear most part has to be a certain distance from the tail lights on the trailer. Last time I looked, our state was 36" so if your platform and dingy hang out more than 36" from the tail lights you could have an issue, or might beed to add tail lights.

1988 Bayliner Capri 2.3 ford engine

The name Bayliner (an old one) and OMC are terms that scare people away. You would ve better off to pull rhe engine and outdrive and remove all salvageable items, scrap the hull and try to sell the parts.
