    This is handy!

    Picked this up Saturday for $75 - it's a bearing carrier retaining nut tool, comes in handy for changing seals, shift cams etc. I have to replace the factory rectifier on my 1975 850 with a rec/regulator, which one should I use(part Nr.?).

    Socket adapter

    Here's a little device that might help loosen rusty bolts, it's a .250"socket adapter that goes in your drill. If you have a hammer drill you can put it in reverse and make it into a low power impact gun and the clutch will adjust the power.

    Merc 850 16v alternator output

    According to my onboard volt meter and handheld VOM my alternator is putting out 16v. I know that 13 to 14v is the factory rating for a 1975 850; does anyone know what causes this and can you identify this part in the attachment (it was screwed onto the distributor front plate.)
