I have returned... with a Starcraft this time!

Well guys, the tent shelter made it through the storms okay. Just the top frame rail popped loose. Need to put it back together then add a couple screws to keep it from happening again. Will get my neighbor friends to help with that.

    No! Emergency ;) :) :) :)

Buddy of mine lives in Johnstown, PA. Yesterday they were predicting 4-6 inches. He sent me this pic of his patio a little while ago. Says they're at 22 inches and still counting.

I have returned... with a Starcraft this time!

Just a quick update that nothing has been done for the last month. Been having side effects from meds and simply can't do any physical effort. Doc said to just chill and recover. It'll all be better but it takes time. A shame too because the weather finally got right and I have SIX major...

1967 Starcraft resto, code name "On Holiday"

Oh man, my heart goes out to ya on that one. I had the exact same thing on my Kingfisher. I don't recommend using a cutoff wheel to get them out. My deck was still usable before I started but I ended up with grooves around the screw holes when I was done. Not only unsightly, but that method...

    Gotta get it worked on

I was Starcraft surfin' the 'net today and found this video. Dunno if the boat belongs to someone on here but I absolutely love the song that's used for the background. Good job on the restomod too!

    Waterline on Aluminum boat

The picture of the capacity plate shows the model number in the lower left hand corner, which is a 1996 Model 1650 MV DLX, a utility hull weighing 327 pounds empty according to NADA. http://www.nadaguides.com/Boats/1996/Starcraft-Co Weight redistribution is the first order of business in...

I have returned... with a Starcraft this time!

Went out this morning and marked all of the trees that will need to be removed in order to give me some boat/truck maneuvering room as well as fit into future plans for the property. Then I broke the tractor! D'oh. My bad. Texted my buddy, who came over and took a look. Yup, broken parts...

I have returned... with a Starcraft this time!

No physical work done today but I did do some computer work. It's not to scale and doesn't show everything, but it gets the point across. Talked with a guy today who gave me a different perspective on the trespasser situation. I'd explained that I completely understand why the people want to...

What year is this old SeaKing?

Any ideas? Looks like early 60s to me. Buddy of mine picked this up a couple days ago. 15' long, 53" beam at the widest. No HIN on the boat. Never registered. No title since it's only been used on a farm pond. Any ideas?

My wife filed for US Citizenship today!

I've mentioned in a couple of other posts that she's from the Philippines, so no intrusiveness. :joyous: She and her 9 y.o son positively love it here in the US! They've been here 3 1/2 years and life just keeps getting better and better for us (other than my health issues) and she is...

I have returned... with a Starcraft this time!

Checked out the Chassahowitzka River today for another iboats member. Shallow!! Will definitely not return there until after Phase 2 is completed on the Kingfisher and the 50HP Mercury with a jack plate is installed. Gotta be able to run much shallower and on plane! Can't do that now...

Cruising the Chassahowitzka River to Gulf of Mexico in Florida

We caught a bunch of undersized Mangrove Snapper, but no keepers. Spotted a trio of Manatees! Knee deep on an Egret... the water is that shallow all the way across the river from this point on.

Cruising the Chassahowitzka River to Gulf of Mexico in Florida

Checked it out today. If you have an 18" draft on your Bayliner, you'll have major problems in Chassahowitzka. It's less than a foot deep in many places. I actually ran into trouble on the way back upriver with my little 16' Kingfisher which drafts less than a foot. Banged the skeg a...

    Starcraft Holiday Rebirth

I could only get the 3/4" pink foam around here and used five 4x8 sheets for my 16' Kingfisher. I wrapped the sections towards the stern with gasoline proof trash bags as well. Looked like this:
