I have returned... with a Starcraft this time!

Got partial pix of a tabby cat last night. It was only 3-5' from the camera. No wonder I wasn't getting possum pix with the cam 30' - 40' away! With the slow trigger speed and reset time of this cam, things have to be "just right" in order to capture images. Reset the cam for tonight... put...

    St. Petersburg Boat Show

Took my family down to the St. Pete boat show last weekend. Fun stuff! During this year I'd taken them to fishing shows that had boats, hunting shows with boats and indoor boat shows at the fairgrounds. They'd seen and been on fishing boats in a variety of sizes and prices. At one show...

I have returned... with a Starcraft this time!

BUSTED!! Problem solved. :D In the pix the monster was still trying to dig its way out of the cage. Mean cuss. Not happy with the trail cam. It didn't capture images of the animal walking or going into the cage. It only took pix when my wife and I went out to investigate with the...

I have returned... with a Starcraft this time!

Gonna try this tonight. :D Don't want that critter under the house or climbing up into boats and causing problems! ;)

Starcraft Garage B&S. (boat and other stuff to talk about)

My wife says that the first top is too ugly to put on my truck! She does have a point, but I also pointed out that it would only be installed when we need to take an overnight road trip to pick up parts and whatnot. To keep those scavengers at bay. ;) And it can also be painted...

Starcraft Garage B&S. (boat and other stuff to talk about)

Garage guy question! This topper is for sale for $100 in my area. It's on a 1997 F-350 long bed. Will it fit on my 1995 F-150 long bed? If yes, I should probably snap it up. My truck:

I have returned... with a Starcraft this time!

Found a reference and been looking at the animal tracks. I'm beginning to think it's an opossum. The arrow in the pic below shows what I think is that opposed toe thing. Maybe?

I have returned... with a Starcraft this time!

I've gotta say that I'm totally bummed that I haven't been able to get pix of my animal intruder. :blue: The camera has been set up in a variety of spots and distances and configured different ways, yet I'm not getting any pix of the critter at all. Actually, no pix at night. Last...

I have returned... with a Starcraft this time!

Post-painting pix. I just need to reconnect the battery to the trolling motor and depth finder, then re-strap down the battery box and fuel tank and the Kingfisher will be ready to fish. But I know the rules around here... pix come first! :D

Phase 1a is done, y'all!! :D Just waiting for the paint to dry. Will post more pix tomorrow once it's all set up again.

I have returned... with a Starcraft this time!

Done for today. Letting paint dry now. Took us 5 hours to get this section prepped and painted including a 1 hour lunch break. Slow but steady! Mr. Helper painting the tight spots where I don't fit! Better him than me, I say! :D Done for the day. The boy did most of the...

I have returned... with a Starcraft this time!

Progress! Nothing like being pumped up on powerful steroids to get a guy moving!! Got out there this morning and went back to work on the little Kingfisher. Felt great to be working again. :joyous: Continued Phase 1a; prepping and painting the Gluvit along the splash rail inside...

    Starcraft on C-list/ebay!

1983 Starcraft 23ft - $1500 (Weeki Wachee) http://tampa.craigslist.org/hdo/boa/5327586346.html 23 footer? If the engine runs good, with tilt n trim, it's a good price overall.

    1983 Starcraft SS 180 rebuild

There ya go. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. And you won't have to mess with de-rigging a big single followed by re-rigging with dual engines. Don't forget that adding a dual binnacle to the boat would have added more cost as well. Perhaps several hundred dollars. Then again, there's just...

I have returned... with a Starcraft this time!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING ALL!! Fence is done! Gate is up! Signs are posted! My buddy came over and "we" finished the job this morning. If me standing around sipping coffee counts at all. And the scumbags apparently climbed the fence at some point over the last few days while I've been...

Picked up the gate and one more post this morning. My buddy says he should be able to get it mounted today. Beautiful weather out there this morning!

I have returned... with a Starcraft this time!

Woo hoo! Down to 41 out there and dropping a little more. Humidity is still high though, so that "brisk" feeling isn't in the air. But it''s a nice relief from the extended summer we've had this year. Am gonna check with Tractor Supply this morning to see if they have my gate in stock. If...

I have returned... with a Starcraft this time!

The fence is 99% done. It rained most of the day yesterday and has been off and on today, so not quite finished. Still have one corner left and am thinking about what gate to get. The driveway is 15' wide so a 14' gate would be easiest, I suppose. Looking good so far though! My buddy...

I have returned... with a Starcraft this time!

More progress pix. It's amazing what a strong young farm boy can do in a short period of time. Looks like it'll all be done today. Still have to figure out gate options too. :) Have much work to do after the fence is finished. Going to be clearing the trees next to the boat shelter and...
